A couple of weeks ago Dominique and I went over to the Madison Hgts, MI Nature Center to get in a short walk. We noticed that the Wildflowers were just starting to come up. A sure sign that Spring has Sprung!
Earlier this year I bought a new macro lens but I have not had time to really put it to use. So a few days later I gathered up my camera, new lens and tripod and headed over to the center to try to get a few shots.

When I got there the Trilliums were in bloom and I was in luck. I set up and tried a few shots. Here you see a couple of the results. I spent couple of hours walking around, watching the birds and shooting flowers. It is really nice to have places like these nearby for a few hours respite.

Local nature centers offer natural beauty and a bit of respite from the day-to-day pressures of modern life. I highly recommend that we use them at every opportunity.
