I enjoyed this trip as well. Charleston is an amazing place for cool architecture (a special interest of mine). The pastel shotgun houses and great wrought iron work by Phillip Simmons--who passed away last month at the age of 97 http://www.postandcourier.com/photos/galleries/2009/jun/23/philip_simmons_june_6_1912_june_22_2009/ made really great photo subjects. I loved the architectural details photos here.

I've never been to Charleston but have heard wonderful things. I love the pastel houses!
